About Narbhavi.
For over 50 years, Narbhavi T.S. Ramanujam & Mathurabai Ketkar Trust has focused on the welfare of women and pre-school children, by providing vocational training such as embroidery and needle work, and a creche for young children where they learn about fruits, colors, animals and food habits. On reaching 5 years, the children go for admission in regular schools, where they are given preference as they are well trained and good habited .
Narbhavi has also conducted Cancer Awareness Camps, in coordination with the Rotary Club and Jeevodaya and Health Awareness Camps with the help of Respiratory Research Foundation of India.

1976 - Present
Creche
Over 2200 children have benefitted from the creche so far. At a time, 90 children, aged 1 to 5, are taught rhymes, colors, fruits, animals and food habits. Each child is given a nutritious meal at lunch time, and they are provided with a medical checkup every three months to monitor growth.
1978 - Present
Needlework & Embroidery
For the past 40+ years, Narbhavi has trained women aged 18 to 30 in needle work, dress making and embroidery. Over 350 women have benefitted from this, and 20 have been given tailoring machine bought out of their stipend.
